Imagine you are breathing up through your feet, take your mind and awareness to your lower belly, place your hands on the belly if it helps, just below your belly button, to a place known as the hara. If you are feeling really tense, just talk yourself through instead…. e.g.: I am breathing up through my feet to my lower belly, to my hands, I release my breath back down my legs and through my feet. As you breathe out release the sound of ho…till there is no breath left, if you can hold for a count of 1,then attention back to your feet and breathe up through your legs again.
Repeat this 5x times, then relax and rest in the space you have created, breathe naturally and keep focus at your hara centre. In that quiet space, then just say to yourself “ For today only, do not worry” Giving yourself permission just at that moment in time to let go of the worry.
Practice saying For today only Do Not Worry out aloud a few times, take note of your reaction.
